Dr. Santiago Alvarez is a Board-Certified doctor with over 20 years experience in several fields of Medicine. He helps his patients with hair loss as he always has with care and a holistic approach that incorporates all the best natural, pharmacological and laser treatments that are right for each patient. Naturopathic Medical Doctor who is Board-Certified by The American Alternative Medical Association as a Holistic Health Practitioner, with memberships of The Anti-Aging Medical Association, The American Naturopathic Medical Association, and The Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Alvarez has been in the medical field since 1987 graduating and working for Loma Linda University Medical Center in the ER department. Then, he got his B.S. in Sport Sciences and work in his private practice as an Exercise Physiologist specializing in Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. During those years he developed an interest in holistic medical care. He attended The Homeopathic Academy of Southern California for three years where he becomes a Classical Homeopathic Practitioner. Two years later he graduated from his Naturopathic Medical Doctor program with honors from Kingdom College of Natural Health. He is also trained in Functional Medicine, a discipline which approaches the patient by dealing with the cause of the disease, rather than just treating the symptoms of the disease. For example, if a nutritional or hormonal deficiency is diagnosed and treated, this may lead to resolution of a chronic illness like high blood pressure, hair loss and eliminate the need for prescription drugs. He is active in continuing medical education in hair loss, holistic endocrinology, anti-aging medicine, and aesthetic laser procedures.
Dr. Albert received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1986. He completed internships in General surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed a research fellowship in trauma surgery. He completed a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital and is board certified in both areas. Dr. Albert spent several summers in research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the departments of endocrinology, cell and virus center and cytogenetics. He is currently the chairman of pathology and medical director of laboratories at Buffalo Mercy Hospital and immediate past president and board chair of X-cell laboratories of western, NY. He is currently the vice president of the New York State Society of Pathologists. Dr. Albert has co-authored several research articles in the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Laser's in medicine. He recently had a correspondence letter published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Albert is happy to speak with you and personally consults with all new clients requiring prescription or compounded products. Dr. Albert cares about each patient and follows the literature closely for new advances in hair loss treatment.
Brian R. Hempstead, M.T. (ASCP)
Brian has over 20 years of medical background and has been the treatment care coordinator and a consultant in hair loss for over 5 years. Brian has been through all aspects of hair loss, including hair replacement, hair transplants and treatments to control hair loss. Through his own personal experience (with all options) and research, he can help you decide which solutions are right for you. Brian has co-authored several articles involving medical treatment and surgical options and has been published in the leading Dermatology journal (the official publication of 5 medical specialties). In addition, Brian has attended the yearly ISHRS meetings to gain insight from the worlds leading restoration surgeons and hair loss experts. As a medical consultant in other business, Brian helped to develop better and more cost effective ways to help and treat patients. Brian has a passion for delivering the best possible hair treatment programs at the most cost effective price possible. Brian will also be pursuing a degree in Trichology.
Paula McArdle, R.N.
Paula has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and brings to HLCC valuable patient care skills and medical knowledge. She has been working at Hair LossControl clinic for 10 years helping to develop new and ever better patient care treatment protocols. She has down checkups for thoudands of clients and helps train our consulants and affilates around the world. Paula is also pursuing a subspecialty in nutritional counseling.
Dr. Eliot Ghatan, M.D., FAAD, FRCPC

is our consulting Dermatologist. On the rare occasion that a Dermatologist is needed, Dr. Ghatan is available to our clients. Dr. Eliot Ghatan is a graduate of Albert Einstein Medical School and has completed a dermatology residency at McGill University, which included some training in plastic surgery. He is a board certified dermatologist with more than 10 years of in dermatolgy & cosmetic surgery. Prior to his training in dermatology, Dr. Ghatan had special training in Surgery at Einstein and Montefiore Hospitals, completed a residency in Medicine, as well as a residency in Primary Care Medicine.
Dr. Ghatan has served as a dermatological surgeon at the Brooklyn Verteran's Administration Hospital and as attending dermatologist at the Brooklyn Hospital. He also held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Ghatan is certified by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and is board qualified in the United States.
Dr. Ghatan is extensively involved in a variety of clinical researches and lectures frequently. In addition to having his work published in medical journals, Dr. Ghatan is author of the book "The Invaluable Pearl" (Bloch Publishing, New York, NY) Dr. Ghatan also authored "Dermatological Differential Diagnosis & Pearls" (Parthenon publishing, New York, NY) which is widely used by doctors in the US and overseas to train in Dermatology.
