HLCC's Treatment Programs can utilize products like Propecia® and Rogaine® which have received FDA approval to stop hair loss and regrow hair and customized stronger prescription versions of these products. We also include clinically proven products that have received a hair loss patents like the Herbal Alternative to Propecia® and HairScripts™ Complete. Laser HairTherapy is very important too. Treatment Programs

Below are the steps involved in our treatment plan:

STEP 1 - ANALYSIS & FINDINGS
The first step is completing the HLCC Treatment Program Hair Questionnaire. We will then educate you on the basics of hair loss Our expert staff will formulate your treatment plan taking into consideration your health, scalp hygiene, prescription drug use, stress, hormonal changes, iron deficiency anemia, heredity and nutritional profile to determine other factors which might contribute to hair loss. HLCC has developed a comprehensive program of treatments to deal with most all causes of hair loss. Once we understand your individual hair loss situation, we educate you to want it is and what your options are.

STEP 2 - TREATMENT
HLCC Treatment Program can eliminate acute problems within your hair follicles that can cause thinning hair. Afterwards, additional products will be used to enhance your existing hair. Once thinning has been stabilized, the odds of success with hair growth drugs or transplants will be increased.

Not everyone is a good candidate for treatment; this is why a questionnaire is done on everyone before recommending treatment in order to eliminate those who we feel won't respond or have unrealistic goals. Sometimes the best plan is either hair restoration surgery or hair replacement systems. All these choices will be explained, as well as, costs, benefits and disadvantages for each. Once you have your individualized recommended treatment plan, it will contain 4 stages:

• FIRST STAGE TREATMENT - will involve lifestyle or nutritional changes that will help maximize your treatment plan (Not a must but really can help)

• SECOND STAGE TREATMENTS - includes intensive preparation of the scalp surface, hair follicle and hair shaft. The purpose is to:

  • improve the overall health of the scalp by encouraging a cell-by-cell exfoliation of dead skin (dandruff)
  • increase blood circulation to the scalp
  • hydrate the outer layer (stratum corneum) and increase permeability
  • normalize an excessively dry or oily scalp condition
  • eliminate and emulsify built-up sebum in the follicle entrances and further penetrate the follicle to emulsify the buildup of debris at the root or bulb
  • cleansing of the hair and scalp by eliminating dirt and debris while leaving needed oils
  • flooding the cleansed follicles with nutrients

  Products used in this stage - Scalp Scripts Shampoo, Scalp Therapy Dexpanthenol, Nutrient "Hair Growth" Delivery System Co-Enzyme

• THIRD STAGE TREATMENTS - aggressive oral and topical program to stop hair loss and gain some re-growth by:

  • inhibiting the formation of DHT through binding to specific receptor sites with potent DHT Blockers
  • oxidize 5-Alpha Reductase, rendering it inactive
  • increasing blood flow to hair follicles
  • increase potassium ion exchange in the follicles
  • providing sulfur to the hair
  • providing all the nutraceuticals that hair needs to grow
  • providing a marine protein concentrate and silica which has been shown in several Norwegian studies to help hair loss especially in the presence of low level light therapy

  Sometimes prescription products may be warranted to expedite or enhance your treatment

  Oral Products - HLCC Complete or Enhanced AA (non Rx) and/or Propecia or 1.25 mg Finasteride (Rx)

  Topical - 5% Minoxidil in carrier, 5% Minoxidil with Saw palmetto, 5% saw palmetto (non Rx), 10% Minoxidil, 10% Minoxidil with saw palmetto, 15% Minoxidil, MVF (Rx)

• FOURTH STAGE TREATMENTS - utilize Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) or Photo biotherapy with in clinic laser or LaserComb at Home. (see video TV news clips)

  LLLT or Photobiostimulation has been used clinically for numerous ailments in Europe for over thirty years and has been the subject of over 2,500 scientific papers, published worldwide. There are no reported side effects to the therapy which is painless, non-toxic and complements many traditional therapies. This therapy is currently undergoing FDA clinical trials in the US to prove stoppage of hair loss and re-growth of hair. It is currently being used in Canada and Europe for this purpose. In Canada, it's equivelent of the US FDA has approved one of our laser companies to say it stops Hair Loss and Regrows hair!

  Four distinct effects are known to occur with LLLT:

  1. An increase in ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) - thus increasing energy and protein synthesis of which hair is 85% protein
  2. Improved cell proliferation
  3. A change in cell membrane permeability
  4. Increased blood circulation resulting in an increased nutrient supply to the hair follicles

STEP 3 - FOLLOW-UP - Monitoring and adjustments of treatment program

Each person has their own individual hair loss situation; therefore different people react differently to our treatment programs. By closely monitoring a patient's progress we can change and adjust the program to an individual's response to the treatment program. We monitor your progress both digitally and with a capilloscope to show the results of your treatment program.

HAIR CARE PRODUCTS

Our products are formulated to cleanse the hair and scalp thoroughly and rinse completely to eliminate undesirable residues. You may also use these products independently of a HLCC Treatment Program.

Important Things to Consider About Product Program or LLLT/Product Program:

1. Utilizing a program allows you to maximize your results because the products work synergistically (the whole program is greater than it parts). Also each product works differently to stop hair loss and improve your chances of hair regrowth.

2. When using only one or two products, many people do not see the best results and therefore do not continue treatment for a long enough time to start to see results (at least 6 months.

3. HLCC Programs were designed to maximize their benefits and minimize their cost. These products are sold individually, but are more expensive and less effective.

4. HLCC Programs were developed as a medical program by physicians with medical research and scientific rational. Many products on the radio, TV, and internet offer hope, hype, and huge claims without proven efficacy. Remember, only 2 products have FDA research to prove hair regrowth - Minoxidil and Finasteride, and many studies have shown Saw Palmetto berry exact have results with both hair loss and prostate health.
